
Bio
David G. Schwartz is professor of information systems and former vice-chairman, at the Business School of Bar-Ilan University, Israel. He has published over 180 research papers, books, chapters, and editorials in the field of information systems and technologies. His,research has appeared in publications such as The Lancet’s eClinicalMedicine, Management Science, Health Policy and Technology, Information Systems Research, and IEEE Intelligent Systems. He served as editor of Internet Research for over a decade, is senior editor for the Journal of the Association for Information Systems and JMIR mHealth and uHealth, and former Associate Editor of the European Journal of Information Systems. As visiting scholar and professor he has shared his expertise globally, at Columbia University, Department of Biomedical Informatics; Monash University; University of Canterbury, New Zealand; National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan and Renmin University of China. A recipient of multiple NIH grants, David’s research currently focuses on the design and implementation of Emergency Response Community apps to address opioid overdose and other healthcare emergencies. His main research interests are Cybersecurity, mHealth/DTx, and Human-in-the-loop AI models.
