Soumya Ray

Soumya Ray is a Professor at the Institute of Service Science at National Tsing Hua University. Soumya's empirical research covers user behavior on online platforms and extends theories of user addiction, online community engagement, user switching costs, and more. His methodological research explores the use of predictive methods in explanatory modeling. His research appears in Information Systems Research, the Journal of Management Information Systems, the Journal of the Association of Information Systems, among others. Soumya teaches topics on service systems architecture and security, as well as computational statistics. Additionally, he authors open-source software packages that have a strong user base and community following.
